Captive Conscience Press

Books by other authors, published under the imprint of Three Doves Press.

Captive Conscience Press publishes books by other authors under the care of Three Doves Press. The name comes from Worms in April 1521, where Luther told the emperor and the Diet that his conscience was captive to the Word of God, and that to act against conscience was neither safe nor right. A press that takes that for its name has made a promise about the kind of book it will put its name to.

A book published here belongs to its author. The author keeps the copyright and receives the royalties. The press supplies the editing and source checking, the typesetting for print and e-book, the cover, the ISBN and Library of Congress registration, the listings with the printers and booksellers, and a page on this site, and it says on the copyright page how the work was done, including where machine tools helped.
